NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA — Two crashes in northeast Oklahoma on Tuesday resulted in injuries, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The first incident occurred at approximately 7 a.m. at County Road East 270 and County Road South 630 in Delaware County. Peggy Stanley, 69, of Grove, was driving westbound when her vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a motorcycle operated by Jeremiah Sheehan, 19, of Grove. The motorcycle overturned and came to rest in the eastbound lane. Sheehan sustained injuries, though details regarding his condition were not provided.
The second crash took place around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of US-59 and County Road E. 110 in Ottawa County. Maurine Cunliff, 64, of Commerce, failed to yield at a stop sign, leading to a collision with another vehicle, striking its front driver’s side quarter panel. One passenger in the second vehicle was reported injured; however, details about that vehicle remain undisclosed.
Emergency services responded to both scenes, and roadways experienced temporary closures during the investigations. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances surrounding both crashes.
