A motorcycle crash on Highway 142 in Howell County, about 15 miles west of Thayer, left a 55-year-old Salem man seriously injured on Saturday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at noon when the westbound 2009 Harley-Davidson ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned. The motorcycle sustained total damage and was subsequently towed by Legacy Towing.
Authorities reported that the rider was airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment of serious injuries. The exact status of his injuries was not disclosed.
No lane closures were reported following the accident, and an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
