Accidents Result in Multiple Injuries Across Southern Missouri
Multiple traffic incidents reported over the weekend resulted in injuries to several drivers in Southern Missouri.
On Saturday, a four-vehicle collision on Missouri K, three miles north of Ava, left three individuals with serious injuries. Authorities said an 86-year-old man from Mountain Home crossed the centerline, colliding with a tractor and subsequently two other vehicles. Among the injured were the elderly driver and an 85-year-old female passenger, both transported to a local hospital, along with a 40-year-old man from Seymour.
Earlier that day, a 61-year-old man from Lebanon suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle accident on Missouri 17, five miles north of Roby. Authorities reported he lost control after hitting a missing section of roadway, causing him to overturn and be ejected from his motorcycle.
In a separate incident, a 51-year-old man from Bunker sustained minor injuries after he drove off County Road 263 and struck a tree, approximately 15 miles northeast of Eminence.
The same day, a 64-year-old man from Lake St. Louis was injured when his vehicle was struck on U.S. 63, five miles north of Licking. Authorities reported that a local driver failed to yield.
On Sunday, a 16-year-old male from Raymondville suffered minor injuries when he overturned his pickup after striking a fence on Highway B, two miles west of Raymondville. Additionally, a 17-year-old male from West Plains incurred moderate injuries after running off Highway 5, five miles north of Gainesville, and hitting an embankment.
Emergency response teams from local agencies managed the incidents, and investigations are ongoing.
