NIXA, Mo. — An 18-year-old woman from Springfield died in a crash on Highway 14 near Delaware Town Road on Tuesday at 12:20 p.m.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the vehicle she was in hydroplaned and crossed the centerline before being struck on the passenger side by an SUV.
Three other individuals sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate; their identities have not been released.
Authorities reported that wet conditions likely contributed to the accident. Emergency responders were on scene to assist with medical aid.
No lane closures were reported as a result of the incident, and an investigation is currently underway.
